Georgian Crystal's factory, sited in an old converted silk mill, is a fascinating place to visit and to watch fine crystal glassware being made using traditional tools by long-experienced craftsmen. Our home village, Tutbury in Staffordshire , boasts a fine castle which once played "host" to the tragic Mary Queen of Scots. Tutbury was capital of Mercia, from the time when Offa, King of Mercia, set up his seat of government here around 500AD.
Surrounded by the gentle Staffordshire countryside, with the River Dove babbling its lazy way by the side of the town, Tutbury makes a fascinating destination for a historic day out, and the Georgian Crystal factory should be a vital part of your agenda.
